Performance Impact Arena

It is our EVERY DAY MISSION to develop of our student-athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the ice!
$500,000 MATCHING GIFT OPPORTUNITY!
We are incredibly grateful to share a transformative announcement for the Ohio Blue Jackets campaign. With deep humility and generosity, Bruce and Susan Edwards have established a $500,000 dollar-for-dollar matching gift in support of this project. Their leadership and belief in the future of hockey in our community have created a powerful opportunity for all of us.
Beginning now, every new or increased gift will be matched — dollar for dollar — up to $500,000!
OUR VISION
Performance Impact Arena will become the premier destination for hockey excellence in Central Ohio, providing a "one-stop-shop" for players and families while establishing our region as a hub for tournaments and events.
Located on the Maridel Campus in Delaware County, this 153,000 square foot facility will feature:
- 2 sheets of ice (with land secured for potential 3rd sheet)
- State-of-the-art training facilities
- Community gathering spaces to bring families together
OUR GOAL | "THE FINAL $5 MILLION"
We are shovel-ready — and we need your help! Reaching our $5 million fundraising goal will allow us to break ground on the Performance Impact Arena.
Significant progress has been made through donated land, early public investments, and generous private support. With this strong foundation in place, the campaign is now focused on raising the final $5 million needed to move into construction.
This is more than building an arena, it's about building character, community, and opportunity.
Together, we will create a legacy that develops young people who will lead with process, respect, integrity, determination, and excellence for years to come.

WHY I GIVE | OUR ALUMNI SUPPORT
“Our family has been associated with the OBJ program from the very outset. I was fortunate early on, along with several others from the Columbus hockey community in helping Ed structure the program. Ed and his coaching staff have always upheld the values of the program that were established when the organization was originally formed. By holding firm to these values, the program and the players that have been a part of it have achieved great success in the hockey world.
Whether it has been in the junior ranks, the college world, or in the professional arena, the numbers speak for themselves. More importantly, the program has been instrumental in developing its players into outstanding young adults who have gone on to wonderful careers. My wife, Susan, and I count our son, Blake, as someone who benefited greatly from his involvement with the program, and hope our matching gift inspires others who have benefited from the program and the sport of hockey to support this project.”
- Bruce Edwards Former OBJ Board Member | Former OBJ Program Parent
"Playing in the Ohio Blue Jackets program opened more doors in life than I ever would have dreamed were possible. It not only gave me an opportunity to play hockey against the best young players in the country, but more importantly taught me the values of hard work, commitment and helped me find purpose for life after hockey. Three men from the program stood next to me at my wedding. I can truly say my life and career would be much different without the OBJ program."
