Boumedienne tenders with Youngstown Phantoms
November 25, 2022
16U defenseman Sascha Boumedienne has signed a tender with the Youngstown Phantoms (USHL) for the 2023-24 season.
A highly dynamic, smooth-skating defenseman, Boumedienne currently leads the 16U team in scoring as an underage player. Through 28 games this season, he has tallied 7 goals and 18 assists for 25 points. A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Boumedienne will soon travel back home to skate with the U16 Swedish National Team.
By signing Boumedienne to a tender, the Phantoms will be giving up their 2023 first-round Phase I draft choice to secure his rights for next season. The current Phantoms roster also includes program alumnus and Providence College commit, Braiden Clark.
