Williams commits to Miami University

Longtime AAA Blue Jackets defenseman Ryan Williams committed to play Division I hockey at Miami University (NCHC).
A well-rounded, smooth skating defenseman with a physical presence, Williams is currently playing his rookie season of junior hockey with the Janesville Jets (NAHL). In 13 games played this season, Williams has tallied one goal, three assists and a +6 rating.
A native of Pleasantville, OH, Williams played seven seasons in the AAA Blue Jackets organization. He tallied 19 goals and 77 points in two seasons at the 18U level, highlighted by helping lead the team a Mid-Am district championship and berth in the National Tournament in 2020-21. In 2022, Williams was valedictorian at Will Fairfield Union High School.
A member of the National Collegiate Hockey Association, Miami's tradition of success includes six conference championships, two Frozen Fours and 11 appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Other AAA Blue Jacket alumni that have played at Miami include Trent Vogelhuber, Sean Kuraly, Jack Roslovic, Kiefer Sherwood, Carson Meyer and Grant Valentine.
